These monthly meetings have been set up for Dental Nurses in the south region (Ox/Bucks/Berks/Hamps/I.O.W) to give Dental Nurses an ability to network and share ideas through open discussion, support their wellbeing plus be empowered to progress and further their career if they wish to do so. This will be delivered via Webinar. Dental care professionals play an essential role in safeguarding; we are trained to recognise signs of abuse in patients and act accordingly to preserve our patients’ safety. The focus of this presentation is to highlight the importance of dental professionals learning how to create a safe space for patients and colleagues to ask for support if they are experiencing domestic abuse. The aim is to make a systematic change in the way this issue is handled in the UK, including in dentistry. GDC outcomes A & D. Following this will be an open forum and peer review discussion chaired by our guest speaker and the Tutor facilitating.
