The Dental Nurse monthly meetings have been set up for Dental Nurses in the south region (Ox/Bucks/Berks/Hamps/I.O.W) to give Dental Nurses an ability to network and share ideas through open discussion, support their wellbeing, plus be empowered to progress and further their career if they wish to do so. This will be delivered via Teams Webinar. The speaker Natalie Bradley will help delegates to understand how to assist the Dentist/be part of the team to safely manage patients who are currently or have a history of substance misuse with illicit substances such as drugs or alcohol. This 1-day tier 2 course is delivered by Unique Training Solutions and is commissioned by Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West and Frimley Integrated Care Boards. The day consists of a half-day session on learning disabilities and a half day session on autism. You need to complete both parts. This training is delivered by an approved Oliver McGowan trainer and co-delivered with an expert with lived experience of learning disabilities and an expert with lived experience of autism. Attendance at this session requires full interaction from learners so that everyone can leave this course with ideas of how to implement and action any knowledge gained. This will support the Oliver McGowan campaign to ensure that every person with a learning disability, and every autistic person, has the right to excellent care and service, wherever they choose to access it.
