Description: This course is one of a number of courses designed to provide an Introduction to primary care NHS dentistry – essential for dentists undertaking Performers List Validation by Equivalence (PLVE). This course is also suitable for other dentists who are new to the NHS, dentists returning to NHS practice, and any dental professional interested in learning more about the featured topics. The Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17) and the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2018 (IRMER18) govern the use of ionising radiation in the UK. The GDC recommends that all Dentists and DCPs complete at least 5 hours of CPD in radiography and radiation protection every CPD cycle. As such, this course satisfies Schedule 2 of the IRMER regulations for practitioners, as well as core CPD requirements as recommended by the GDC.
