Lecturer profile | Dr Aziz is a highly experienced clinician in Restorative and Implants Dentistry with special interest in Prosthodontics.
In line with providing his patients with the latest advances in dentistry, Dr Aziz dedicated his PhD studies at the University of Leeds in 2018 to explore the durability of Zirconia as an aesthetic material for dental implants and fixed bridges. He contributed to the literature by presenting his findings around the world from far east of Seoul to far west in San Francisco.
Extending his 16 years of experience, Dr Aziz enjoys making positive impact to patients’ confidence by empowering their smiles with conservative composite bonding and aesthetic veneers and crowns. Moreover, Dr Aziz has a particular expertise in replacing missing teeth with dental implants and fixed bridges.
As a clinical lecturer at Cardiff university since 2017 and Wales deanery, Dr Aziz provides training for dental students and postgraduate dentists in managing complex cases. He is also an examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This was recognised by the most prestigious higher education academy in the UK and now he is a fellow of the higher education academy.
Furthermore, Dr Aziz is a registered specialist in Prosthodontics in Iraq after finishing his clinical training in Prosthodontics with distinction at University of Mosul, same university where he finished his BDS in 2006 with honours. He worked as a specialist in his practice and was promoted to Clinical lecturer in Prosthodontics at the University of Mosul until 2013.
Apart from dentistry, Dr Aziz enjoys travelling and exploring the world and is fluent in both English & Arabic. He also likes socialising and making new friends.
