Aims

To provide an update on biomaterials science relevant to prosthodontics and revision of adhesive dentistry.

Objectives

Participants will:

1. Revise biomaterials relevant to prosthodontics

2. Understand adhesive dentistry

3. Be aware of the evidence supporting the use of different adhesives and cements in clinical situation

4. Understand the reasons for failure of these materials

Following the course, participants will aim to fit restorations using appropriate adhesives or cements ensuring that appearance, occlusion, and function are in harmony with the remaining dentition and patient’s wishes
