Short resume of career to date: Qualified from UCL in 1991. Speciality training at The Eastman and GOSH 1996-2001 CCST 1999 ISFE 2001 Worked as a consultant at the Eastman until 2007. Has been a consultant in Bristol since 2008. Sarah is Clinical Lead for Paediatric Dentistry in Bristol, TPD for Paediatric Dentistry trainees in the South West, and she examines for the Tri-collegiate M.Paed Dent Exam ( speciality exam). Chair of the South West MCN for Paediatric Dentistry since it’s inception in March 2022

Short resume of career to date: Amy qualified from the University of Leeds in 2006 with a keen interest in paediatric dentistry. After completing vocational training (West Yorkshire), general professional training in Wales (oral surgery & oral medicine and community dentistry) and 12 months OMFS (South Wales), she returned to Leeds to complete her specialist training at Leeds Dental Institute and North Yorkshire and York Community Dental Service. She completed a professional doctorate in Paediatric Dentistry alongside her specialist training with a research project “An investigation into dental anxiety amongst paediatric cardiology patients”. She passed her ISFE in paediatric dentistry in 2015 and was a locum consultant in paediatric dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute prior to settling in the South-West. Currently, she is a consultant in paediatric dentistry at Bristol Dental Hospital and a consultant senior lecturer at Bristol Dental School.
Experience relevant to the topic; As the South West lead for Child Friendly Dental Practices, Amy is keen to improve access and care for the paediatric population closer to home. |

Short resume of career to date: Reena's portfolio career to date has spanned clinical roles across a variety of dental settings; specialist training in dental public health; and working as a strategic management consultant at Deloitte.
Experience relevant to the topic: Reena has worked as a dentist in a variety of healthcare settings spanning high street dentistry; community dental services and the hospital sector. She has also worked with rural communities in Nepal and India delivering outreach dental services on a voluntary basis. This has allowed her to fully understand the burden of disease experienced by our most vulnerable population groups.
Reena currently works across health and social care with a variety of system partners to advocate for oral health improvement; reduce oral health inequalities; and drive improvements in oral health services. She has a proven track record in working across the lifecycle of programmes to deliver transformation and change within services; settings and clinical pathways. A number of her projects have been rolled out across the region, and also nationally.

Short resume of career to date: Claire graduated from Bristol dental hospital in 2000 and then moved to work as a general professional trainee in Newcastle dental hospital between 2000 – 2002, followed by a year as an associate and as an honorary clinical fellow. She also completed short placements in dental public health and the CDS before commencing specialist training in 2003. Claire had a brief placement in Adelaide Children’s Hospital as a senior registrar before returning to the UK to complete higher level training and an MPhil in dental erosion.
Claire was appointed as a consultant in June 2009. She developed the adolescent intravenous sedation service which began in November 2020 and provides care for highly anxious people. Claire was the recipient of a Research for Patient Benefit Grant which supported her team to investigate the patient acceptability of intravenous prpofol sedation in adolescent dental care.
Claire is media spokesperson for and a Past President of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, an organisation which aims to improve oral health in children and encourages the highest standards of care. Claire now works as a consultant advisor to NHS south-West and is clinical lead for oral health within the Children and Young people Transformation team, NHS England
Claire was appointed CBE in 2019 New Year’s Honours List for Services to Children
