Honorary Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Blackpool Victoria Hospitals Trust and Universities Hospital Morecombe Bay Trust and currently the Robert Bradlaw advisor in the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Editor in Chief of the Faculty Dental Journal (FDJ). Examiner for MFDS (RCPS Glasgow).
Professor Crean's roles include, Chair of Lancashire LEP Health Sector Board and NCF Workforce and skills, member NCF project board, Council member of the NHSA, NW Innovation Agency, Lancs Health equity Steering group and NW Health Social Care Workforce Group.
His research interests are focused on the role of bacteria in neuroinflammatory degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
