There will be opportunities for you to ask questions and the evening will end with a chance to network and enjoy some refreshments.

Aims

1. To provide an update on safeguarding for those delivering NHS oral health services in Dorset, with a particular focus on policy, process and practices in the Dorset area.

2. To provide an overview of the Dorset oral health programme including the development of an Oral Health Institute.

Objectives

1. Whole dental team to understand safeguarding and the pathways in which Dentist need to follow when working in Dorset.

2. It is also an introduction to the work of the HSU in developing an Oral Health Institute in Dorset to help train dental professionals

Learning outcomes

At the end of the session you will:

1. Be aware of key Dorset contacts, policies, processes and practices relating to safeguarding and how they impact on your service.

2. Understand the scope of the Dorset oral Health Programme and recognise opportunities to become involved in the delivery of the vision to improve the oral health of Dorset.
