Aims

The aim of this session is to equip dental therapy foundation trainees with the knowledge and skills to improve overall wellbeing and maintain good wellbeing

Objectives

Define wellbeing and state why it is important as a dental professional

List the potential factors in dentistry that may influence wellbeing

State some of the tools that can be utilised to support wellbeing and manage stress

Explain why it is important to ensure good posture when working

Practise some yoga movement to help strengthen and support posture and wellbeing

Consider intentions for the future

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session, dental therapy foundation trainees will feel empowered to support their own wellbeing and be able to demonstrate techniques to support this, as well as utilise yoga to improve strength and posture.
