Lecturer Details: Special Care Dentistry For General Practitioners

Lecturer nameDr Natalie Bradley Specialist Registrar in Special Care Dentistry
Lecturer profileNatalie is currently a Specialist Registrar in Special Care Dentistry based in London and Surrey and I've been an avid blogger for over 5 years now!

Sitting around after passing my BDS from Newcastle University in the Summer of 2014, with no money and nothing to do I sat down and created 'A TOOTH GERM' and I've never looked back! Over 5 years later and almost half a million page views clocked I've been amazed with the response my blog has received!

A Tooth Germ has documented my journey through the early stages of my career; moving down to London to complete foundation training, core training, associate dentistry, out of hours dentistry, community dentistry.... I've dipped my toe into pretty much every toothy field there is out there in the UK.

From this I realised my passion is to treat the most vulnerable people in our society; hence my choice of speciality. I also realised I needed to pursue my other passions of strong leadership cultures and innovation; therefore I completed a fellowship with the Office of the Chief Dental Officer and I am an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur working on solutions to help vulnerable people access dentistry.

I am involved in plenty of dental organisations (I like to keep busy!). I am a joint Study Club Director for Dentinal Tubules, Secretary for Sterling Dental Foundation, Early Careers Ambassador the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Committee member for the BDA's Young Dentist Council and former Curation Crew for TEDxNHS.

I love to write, blog, scribble away my ideas and have had several publications in magazines and journals as well as being a freelance blog writer for Colgate and Colgate Professional.
