DescriptionDental professionals are in a unique position to spot lesions that appear on our patients faces, scalps, ears and lips. We have a responsibility to notice these changes. Mark Singh (Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon, Bristol) will be updating us on the diagnosis, referral and contemporary management of skin lesions.

All members of the dental team are very welcome.  This course will be considering skin cancers.  We will be addressing intra-oral malignancy on Wednesday 17th February 2021.

Aims

To provide an overview of skin lesions, especially cancer, relevant to dentists and their teams.

Objectives

By the end of the session, delegates will:

1. Be aware of the different types of skin cancer and its increasing incidence

2. Be able to identify the three most common types of skin cancer

3. Be confident to refer skin lesions

4. Be aware of different treatment modalities for skin cancer
