Aims | Familiarise FDs with common dental emergencies and their management. Gain confidence in accurately identifying caries and assessing restorability from radiographs |
Objectives | Categorise common dental emergencies and their management Classify dental trauma and apply appropriate management pathways Identify carious lesions and other pathology Differentiate between restorable and unrestorable lesions |
Learning outcomes | Able to correctly interpret radiographic images and diagnose pathology including caries and devise a treatment plan appropriately. Able to effectively manage dental emergencies in practice including trauma. |
