Aims | The aim of this session is to highlight the importance of understanding dental development and what can ‘go wrong’ and enable participants to recognise when interceptive interventions may be appropriate. | ||

· Explain the importance of recognising normal dental development for a patient’s dental age · Recognise possible dental anomalies/malocclusion and how they may present · Investigate asymmetric loss of primary teeth (beyond the normal range) · Recognise the importance of interceptive orthodontics and when and to whom to refer | ||
