DescriptionThis is a hands on day in the phantom head suite at Plymouth University. The room is C203 on the second floor of the Portland Square building, known as SDLE.
Additional information

A clinical tunic top is essential for this day. Smart casual, no jeans trainers or open toed shoes. Please also bring your loupes or your own protective eye wear. Thank you.

Always bring a notepad and pen to every study day.

Only water is permitted to drink 

Mobile phones should be turned off and photography is not permitted.

Aims

Refresh and revise both theory and practical skills in basic clinical dentistry that may not have been used for several months.

Objectives

By the end of the session you will have practised:-

Preparation of a Class 2 cavity and restoration with amalgam of a lower molar

Restoration of a Class 4 fracture of an upper incisor

Preparation of a lower molar for a full gold crown

Preparation of an upper incisor for a PFM crown

Learning outcomes

Course participants will have increased confidence, refreshed skills and improved ability in achieving the above objectives.
