DescriptionFinlay will present his methods and techniques used to deliver dentures with superb aesthetics and optimal function. Complete dentures, partial dentures and implant supported overdentures will be discussed.
Additional information

The lecture will be practical and clinically useful; abundantly illustrated with photographs and videos showing how Finlay and his dental technician, Rowan Garstang, produce removable dental prostheses. Management of patients who have friable denture supporting tissues, flat edentulous ridges, fragile/heavily restored teeth and have had previously failed dental implants will be shown. In addition, this lecture aims to show how we can change our patients’ lives with beautifully made dentures.

A lecture covering methods and techniques which can used to deliver dentures with superb aesthetics and optimal function

Objectives

Techniques and tips for complete dentures in patients with poor support tissues, flat ridges and neuromuscular control problems (for example in patients with dementia).

To learn a new system of partial denture design, including planning for future support teeth failure by designing the cobalt chromium minor connectors with tooth additions in mind.

To see the management of challenging cases where implants have failed.

To appreciate that good quality removable dentures are a valid alternative to implant supported restorations
