| Aims | The aim of this course is to update dental teams on options for managing anxious patients, who and what is appropriate for referral for sedation and how sedation may be accessed in the South West. |
| Objectives | By the end of this webinar participants should: 1. Recognise the NHS services options for providing sedation in the South West 2. Explain which patients are eligible for Primary Care Dental Service or GA referrals according to the acceptance criteria in each area of the South West 3. Identify which patients are suitable for sedation in which setting 4. Explain what information patients need to have to gain valid consent for a referral. 5. Outline the process of referring a patient to a sedation provider in NHS Dental Primary Care (Tier 2 providers). |
