Lecturer Details: Behind the Scenes in Oral Surgery: Clinical Insights from Secondary Care

Lecturer profileReem is currently an Oral Surgery Registrar, having commenced Specialty Training in 2024.

Reem graduated from Cardiff University in 2020 and completed Dental Foundation Training, followed by three years of Dental Core Training across the South West and West Midlands.

During this time, Reem gained experience providing Oral Surgery in Secondary Care, as well as Tier 2 and Urgent Dental Care settings. She has a particular interest in providing treatment under conscious sedation.

Alongside her clinical training, Reem has been actively involved in audits, quality improvement projects and research, with presentations at regional, national and international meetings. She has contributed to published work and has a strong interest in education, service development and improving patient care within Oral Surgery.

Reem is pleased to have been elected as Trainee Representative and looks forward to advocating for Oral Surgery trainees nationally. She is keen to be involved in further improving the training pathway, supporting trainee development and wellbeing, and ensuring trainee voices are effectively represented.
