Senior Dental Hygienist and Mentor. Covering all aspects of patient care and treatment pathways in line with scope of practice. Recent training in Lisbon, Portugal in the care and maintenance of ‘All-on-4’ and ‘All-on-6’ implants and their prosthetics.
Dental Hygienist at Torbay Hopsital, Just going into 5th year. Care of Head and Neck Oncology (as priority). Restorative patients, Cardiology and complex medical history. Orthodontic patients.
Clinical Educator/Consultant for Oralieve (dry mouth product company). Providing education and raising awareness of Xerostomia. Presenting and writing training programmes for Dental Practices/Care homes/ Hopsices/ Acute hospital settings and at Conferences.
Experience Relevant to the Topic:
Providing Oral Health coaching to patients undergoing Head and Neck Oncology treatment, from diagnosis through to (hopefully) health. Providing treatment where necessary and working closely with consultants to provide the best patient based care. Signposting to multidisciplinary team providing a holistic approach.
