Short resume of career to date: After graduating in physics, Ian trained on the NHS Clinical Scientist training scheme in Plymouth, and subsequently worked there for five years until moving to Bristol in 2003. In 2017 he was appointed head of the service providing radiation protection and radiology quality assurance support to the three acute Trusts in Bristol and Weston Super Mare, and a number of smaller organisations. He has held a certificate of competence as a Radiation Protection Adviser since 2010
Experience relevant to the topic: Ian has worked in radiation protection in the medical sector since 1997. He has supported Bristol Dental Hospital and local orthodontic and dental practices since 2003. He is a physics examiner on the Royal College of Radiologists’ Diploma in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology. |

Short Resume of Career to Date: After graduating in physics from the University of Leeds, Sarah trained on the NHS Clinical Scientist training scheme in NHS Highland, which included a Masters in Medical Physics at the University of Aberdeen. Following her training she worked at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital NHS Trust for two years, before moving to Bristol in 2017. In UH Bristol she works within Radiation Science Services, which provides radiation protection and radiology quality assurance support to the three acute Trusts in Bristol and Weston Super Mare, and a number of smaller organisations. She is currently completing the Higher Specialist Scientific Training.
