Short resume of career to date:
Amy qualified from the University of Leeds in 2006 with a keen interest in paediatric dentistry. After completing vocational training (West Yorkshire), general professional training in Wales (oral surgery & oral medicine and community dentistry) and 12 months OMFS (South Wales), she returned to Leeds to complete her specialist training at Leeds Dental Institute and North Yorkshire and York Community Dental Service. She completed a professional doctorate in Paediatric Dentistry alongside her specialist training with a research project “An investigation into dental anxiety amongst paediatric cardiology patients”. She passed her ISFE in paediatric dentistry in 2015 and was a locum consultant in paediatric dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute prior to settling in the South-West. Currently, she is a consultant in paediatric dentistry at Bristol Dental Hospital and a consultant senior lecturer at Bristol Dental School.

Experience relevant to the topic;
As the South West lead for Child Friendly Dental Practices, Amy is keen to improve access and care for the paediatric population closer to home.
