To gain knowledge of all tooth whitening techniques available with appropriate indications  and contraindications, to enable use of the various techniques. To comprehend the causes of tooth discolouration and the various methods to treat them. To understand the theory of shade taking and shade taking techniques.

To be able to know how to treat discolouration by various bleaching and restorative techniques

To be able to take shades using new systems available for composites used directly in the mouth and ceramic restorations fabricated in the laboratory.
