DescriptionThis course is an opportunity to develop your skills to support colleagues who are new to the NHS. This will be an informal day with plenty of time for discussion. Being a Validation Supervisor is hugely rewarding and a wonderful way to welcome the skills of colleagues form diverse backgrounds into the workforce.
Additional information

This course will enable the participant to become a Validation Supervisor- to support dentists working with a conditional performer number ( Performers List Validation by Experience (PLVE) previously called FT by assessment).


No hand-outs are available on the day as all the documents are here online. Please read the ' precourse prep' document and follow the instructions especially section 3 re preparing an A file and downloading forms off the Performers List Validation by Equivalence section of our website

To enable course participants to develop the skills necessary to become Validation Supervisors.


Following the course, participants will be able to :

- Identify training needs.

- Appreciate the importance of reflective learning.

- Understand the principles of successful tutorials.

- Give useful feedback.

- Recognise and Manage inadequate performance. 

Learning outcomes

This course will enable more dentists to consider becoming Validation Supervisors, so will indirectly provide opportunities for dentists with conditional performer numbers to work in the south west.
