Objectives | Understand what CBCT is and how it differs from conventional spiral CT. Understand how the physics of CBCT image acquisition affects the image seen. Types of CBCT, advantages and disadvantages and what is pertinent in practice. Understand how to build a business case for CBCT. Know how to apply image parameters effectively. CBCT legislation – who is responsible for the image. Indications / contraindications for CBCT. Know normal anatomical structures and their variations. Understand how to interpret a general radiology report. Be able to construct an effective radiological report. Understand common CBCT pathologies and their radiological appearance. Understand when to refer and to whom. |
