Aims

To provide an update of the IR(ME)R 2000 for anyone involved in any part of the radiographic process and so fulfill the minimum requirement of 5 hours verifiable CPD every 5 years. The course will take the form of lectures, but with an emphasis on clinical content.
 

Objectives
  • To be aware of the properties of radiation, radiation hazards and dosimetry.
  • To have knowledge of special attention area, eg radiography during pregnancy.
  • To have an understanding of patient selection and radiation protection.
  • To have knowledge of diagnostic radiology, specialised radiographic techniques and digital radiography.
