| Aims |
- To promote the requirements for and benefits of CPD for DCPs
- To equip DCPs with knowledge and tools to plan, unerdertake, evidence and review their own CPD activity (ie via PDP's and CPD evidence records)

| Objectives | By the end of the event, learners will:
- Appreciate the purpose and requirements of the new GDC framework for CPD activity and evidence (“Why ?”).
- Embrace the principles of self-driven CPD, and the personal and professional benefits to be gained from this approach (“Why ?” and “What ?”).
- Be able to identify formal and informal personal development requirements in relation to their current job roles and career aspirations (“What ?”).
- Be able to create a structured and clear PDP including a range suitable options for CPD activities, and review the progress of this plan on an ongoing basis (“How ?”).
- Be equipped with a range of tools and techniques to formally record and evidence their CPD activity (“How ?”).
