Description | This webinar will cover non AGP techniques available to manage caries in the primary dentition during the Covid-19 era. Guidance from the CDO has suggested pre-formed metal crowns and silver diamine fluoride (SDF) are appropriate techniques to use. While many of us are used to using pre-formed metal crowns and the Hall technique, the use of SDF is less known in the UK. Heather Lundbeck will explain the pros and cons of these techniques and when they are appropriate along with specific guidance on the use of SDF and the SOP for its use. Heather is an Honorary Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry at Bristol Dental Hospital. She has hands on experience using silver diamine fluoride in New Zealand whilst working in special care dentistry, which is rare in the UK where its use is still very limited. | ||||
