He will cover efficiencies to importantly show you the secrets to successful pricing, promoting and profitability with posterior composite dentistry. There will be a practical element placing composites in teeth in phantom heads.

The course will also cover light curing so if you would like to bring your own light along it can be checked for efficiency.

Please bring scrub tops and suitable footwear and eye protection for a clinical environment.

There will be no catering for this course. Please bring your own lunch or there are places available near by.

Aim:

The course aims to provide participants with the knowledge on the essentials of composite dentistry.

Objectives

By the end of the course, participants should;

1. Recognise the classification, composition and performance factors of composites.

2. Understand how the properties of dental materials can be used to optimise composite restorations.

3. Gain knowledge on light curing and how it can help or hinder you.

4. Understand the types of bonding systems used in conjunction with composite technology.

5. Gain practical experience in the techniques of freehand composite placements to achieve aesthetic restorations in the molar and pre-molar region.

6. Recognise how you can make your restorations affordable both in time and financially for the patient and clinician.

7. Recognise the pitfalls of composite placement and be able to trouble shoot.
