Aims

To cover the fundamentals of treatment planning within restorative dentistry.

Objectives

The objectives of this course are to enable delegates to:

  • Recognise evidence based strategies to effectively treatment plan cases within the different restorative disciplines (periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics and implantology).
  • Describe diagnosis, treatment options, treatment stages and prognosis of different pathologies and treatments related to restorative dentistry.
  • Discuss the decision making behind restorative treatment to enable all members of the dental team to engage in the provision or maintenance of restorative treatment plans. 
Learning outcomes

By the end of this course delegates will be able to:

  1. Make evidence based decisions for treatment planning restorative cases
  2. Inform their patients about the treatment options and stages of restorative treatment
  3. Understand the multidisciplinary planning that is required to effectively treatment plan restorative case
