Description | If you’re thinking of returning to clinical dentistry, but worried that your handpiece skills are rusty – this is the day for you. Malcolm will be leading an informal session for dentists, dental therapists, those preparing for ORE and anyone thinking of rejoining the register after a break. We understand this can feel daunting. This is a friendly, non-judgmental opportunity to practice cavity preps, handle materials, explore matrix systems and wrestle with rubber dam. We will be using plastic ‘teeth’ in phantom heads. For more information, please contact lucy.silk3@nhs.net This will be a small group of no more than ten people, so plenty of time for questions, discussions – and absolutely no tests.
Additional information | This course is suitable for dental therapists and dentists who may have had a break from clinical dentistry for any reason. People working as hygienists are very welcome to attend, as well as colleagues preparing for the ORE exam. Please bring a clinical tunic top and protective eye wear Lunch will not be provided, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit a local cafe at lunchtime
