Description | Professor StJohn Crean is returning to the South West to take us through the presentation of oral disease and highlighting the signs of systemic disease that may present in the oro-facial region. StJohn Crean is an engaging speaker who explains the processes, such as immunology behind oral signs and symptoms. He will cover oral cancer screening and commonly occurring oral medicine problems that we are likely to come across in our daily practice. | ||||
Additional information | Professor StJohn Crean BDS MBBS FDSRCS FFGDP(UK) FRCS FRCS(OMFS) PHD has a vast amount of experience and knowledge own this field as a Consultant in Oral and and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as being involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, most recently as Executive Dean of Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). We are very fortunate he has agreed to come to speak to us on oral medicine, one of the GDC core topics. Although this course is open to all it is likely to revisit immunology and biochemistry in explaining oral medicine in a relaxed atmosphere.
