Learning outcomes

By the end of the session learners should be able to:

List the major manufacturers of rotary and reciprocating file systems and describe their respective modes of operation and advantages and disadvantages

Describe the balanced-force technique of using hand files and describe its importance in practice

Define the term glide path and describe its importance

Perform non-surgical root canal treatment and re-treatment on single and multi-rooted teeth with mild curvature of the canal, and understand when referral is appropriate
