Description | Complete dentures are difficult, but can be life changing for our patients. Join us in Bristol, with Neil Nathwani, Associate Professor at the Eastman Dental Institute, who will help us explore how we can improve our technique for the best possible outcome. We will be covering history taking, clinical examination, treatment planning, consent and crucially - how to manage our patients expectations. Dr Nathwani will discuss complete denture design principles, including immediate dentures and the copy denture technique. We will also look at common pitfalls - and reasons for failure leading to patient dissatisfaction. |
Additional information | All dentists and clinical dental technicians are very welcome to attend. Lunch will be available for those people choosing to stay for the afternoon course, Minimally Invasive Dentistry. |

Aims | The aim of this course is to ensure attendees understand the process of complete denture construction and how to apply this to their patients in practice. |
Objectives | Following the course, participants will: 1. Be familiar with the construction of full dentures, including immediate dentures and the copy denture technique 2. Understand the importance of learning how to explore patient history in terms of treatment planning 3. Realise the importance of Master Impressions, Bite Registration, Try in and Fit stages |
