DescriptionHuman factors influence the way we work and react to the situations we encounter daily. This introductory session will explain the concept of human factors, what they are and why they are so important in dentistry as we work as a team. As dentistry has changed with the appearance of Covid-19 and the uncertainties of working in a new way, an understanding of human factors can help to decrease stress and increase the safety of our working day. Our speaker Nic Steevenson, has a background Navigating Tornados in the RAF and now facilitates sessions in Human Factors and Error Management discussing best practice from aviation and the NHS. Please be aware this session will not cover any specific dental guidance on returning to work or details on the SOPs.
