DescriptionRebecca John, Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry will deliver a webinar covering emergency management of primary and secondary teeth. This will include a presentation and demonstration of alternative approaches and splinting methods that could be used during the Covid-19 situation. There will be limited participants to enable questions so please put your name on the waiting list if full for interest in a future course. Aims

The aim of this session is to increase confidence in management of dental injuries in children and adolescents.

Objectives

By the end of this session delegates should be able to:

  1. diagnose the dental injuries that can occur in children and adolescents
  2. provide an overview of the biological principles underpinning the acute management of dental trauma
  3. discuss the emergency management of dental injuries
  4. describe alternative approaches to managing dental injuries during the Covid crisis
  5. compare the various splinting materials that will be demonstrated online during the session
Learning outcomes

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

  1. Identify the various dental injuries that can occur
  2. Be aware of the investigations required for accurate diagnosis of dental injuries
  3. Understand the factors that can influence the management and prognosis of the injuries
  4. Have knowledge of emergency management of dental injuries
  5. Be aware of alternative methods that can be used to manage dental injuries during the Covid pandemic
