Aims

To give a deeper understanding of Dental Specialty Training and how it will need to change over the next few years.

Objectives
  • · To develop knowledge and understanding of how training will need to change considering the revised GDC’s specialty curricula
  • · To explore the scope and opportunities that VHL will deliver for future education and training
  • · To review the flexible training options of specialty trainees and how these can be disseminated
  • · Develop COPDEND’s view as to which components of the training should be assessed where and by whom
Learning outcomes

· To have understood the different assessment requirements of the GDC’s revised specialty curricula

· To recognise what changes in training we will need to introduce considering the changes in the GDC curricula

· To be able to describe the strategic and operational options for continued the development of VHL

· To have understood how COPDEND can maximise flexible training options
