SubjectRestorative dentistry
DescriptionPerfect Preparations is a one day event with lectures and many hands-on table top components to take us from assessment of the broken down tooth, through to restoration with indirect materials; covering material selection, local anaesthesia, tooth preparation for metal, metal-ceramic, all-ceramic and monolithic zirconia restorations, core techniques, impressions, temporisation and cementation. This course covers crowns, partial coverage, inlays, onlays, overlays and veneers, plus how to deal with subgingival margins. Brian covers a huge amount of theoretical information on this day and although this course is suitable for everyone, it will cover some more advanced techniques based on the blended learning masters courses he has set up. This course runs in a hotel so there are no phantom head facilities for tooth cutting. We will be working on models on table tops. One of the benefit of this is that we will cover much more content and you will have the opportunity to learn about and see many tooth prep designs over the day, as well as the use of stents, temporisation and impression techniques.
Additional information

Due to the demand for his courses 30th April and 1st May 2020,  Professor Brian Millar has agreed to rearrange them and provide us with 2 fantastic days of practical information on preparing teeth with indirect and direct materials and toothwear, occlusion and the use of splints.

These courses can be booked as separate days or it is an ideal opportunity to make the most of such a lovely area and book onto both.

Please be aware Prof. Millar's courses book very quickly so early booking is advised. If you  are unable to secure a place but are interested in future courses please add your name to the waiting list.

If you are intending on staying at Watergate Bay Hotel please contact them sooner rather than later as they are getting booked up quickly for this time.
