| Aims | To improve restorative treatment planning skills, including the role of dental implants and how complex maxillofacial defects can be rehabilitated with the help of Maxillofacial Prosthetists/ Reconstructive Scientists. The course aims to have some practical elements of implant placement and demonstration of Maxillofacial prostheses to help understanding and add interest to the day. | ||
| Objectives | Revise the restorative treatment planning process. · To improve delegates' understanding of implant provision within the NHS. · To improve delegates' understanding of the role of the Maxillofacial Prosthetist and Reconstructive Scientists in the management of the head and neck cancer patient. | ||
| Learning outcomes | Following the course, delegates should be able to: Apply a framework to help treatment plan any dental restorative case. Understand in basic practical terms the role dental implants can play as a tooth replacement option for patients. | ||
