Objectives

After attending this course delegates should:

recognise and understand the trauma guidelines for management of acute traumatic dental injuries

be able to describe the practical technique for splint placement

be able to explain the physiology of dental trauma and recognise how acute management of dental trauma can have a long term effect on the outcome for traumatised teeth.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this course;

Delegates will have improved understanding of the physiology of dental trauma with awareness of the recently updated trauma guidelines and improved confidence with splinting techniques.
