Aims

To equip the participants with:

  • the knowledge, evidence and basic skills required to manage caries in children.
  • an update of the "Dental Check by 1" pilots operating across 6 pilot sites in the South West
Objectives

1)  To discuss the need for restoring primary teeth.

2) To select the most appropriate method for restoring carious primary teeth.

3) To discuss the application of pulp therapy techniques in the light of the new evidence.

4) To understand the principles in assessing and managing the carious/ compromised first permanent molar in children.

5) To understand the aims and objectives of the "Dental Check by 1" initiative
