Description | The Performers List Validation by Experience (PLVE) scheme, running across the Southwest, is a fantastic way to welcome qualified dentists from outside of the EU into your practice. Offering this opportunity to a PLVE colleague is hugely rewarding and your practice will benefit from the skills and experience they bring. We are all aware of the challenges faced by practices looking to recruit new associates, PLVE could be the answer. Whilst completing PLVE, dentists can treat NHS patients and generate UDAs. PVLE dentists are usually required to work full time for a period of twelve months, which is great news for your patients. During this time, your practice would be expected to provide a mentor. Health Education England (HEE) offers regular training for people wishing to mentor PLVE dentists. PLVE dentists are expected to keep a portfolio of evidence, HEE can help with this. We will also make you aware of the courses and learning opportunities arranged for PLVE dentists in our region. If you are interested in finding out more about PLVE, please join Malcom Prideaux (Associate Dean, PLVE) and Lucy Silk (Associate Dean, Dental Education Reform Program), who will talk you through the process and answer any questions you might have. Everyone is very welcome to attend, this session will be aimed at practice owners, managers and clinical leads. | ||
