To inform and update participants on how to avoid problems that are avoidable and how to manage mistakes in relation to dental negligence.

Objectives

To update participants on-

1- GDC Standards, requirements and procedures.

2- Confidentiality.

3- Working with colleagues and referring patients appropriately.

4- Dealing with complaints.

5- Principles of good record keeping.

6- Consent.

7- Current NHS regulations for provision of treatment .

8- Negligence.

9- Basic UK employment law.

Learning outcomes

To enable participants to work within the GDC standards and realise the consequences if the standards are not followed.
