DescriptionClaire Forbes-Hayley will be coming to Cornwall to persuade busy dentists that Resin Bonded Bridges are a viable option to replace missing teeth. We will be discussing case selection, bridge design, sucess.....failure and the practicalities of how to place and adjust resin bonded bridges. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. All dentists are very welcome. This course will be particularly useful for those of us whose undergraduate training only touched on this subject. Suitable for PVLE candidates.

Aims

To ensure general dental practitioners consider, where appropriate, resin bonded bridges as a treatment option for the management of missing teeth.

Objectives

Following the course, participants will:


  • Be able to identify cases where resin bonded bridges could be used successfully
  • Appreciate why resin bonded bridges may be a better option than alternative restorative solutions
  • Understand to reasons for resin bonded bridge failure (and success!)
  • Describe the features of good resin bonded bridge design
  • Know how to place and adjust resin bonded bridges in practice
