DescriptionAn all-day programme which includes techniques of assessing a smile and carrying out trials and mock-ups before committing your patient or yourself to treatment. Techniques for single and multiple tooth restorations cover the choice of materials and procedures to offer options to your patients to manage predictable changes the colour and shape of teeth. Includes non-invasive adhesive techniques as well as veneers. Focus is on the Destination Dentistry approach: design first, build to that, minimising tooth reduction and maximising outcomes. Part seminar with table top hands-on.

Prof Brian Millar is Professor of Blended Learning in Dentistry at King’s College London and NHS Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the King’s College London Dental Institute at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Hospitals. Specialist in Prosthodontics and in Restorative Dentistry.

The techniques covered on todays course can be used for individual teeth in everyday practice as well as large cases. Brian focuses on providing aesthetic restorative treatment using minimally invasive techniques where possible.

Objectives

By the end of the day delegates should:

  2. Understand  how to manage tooth aesthetics using contemporary materials to restore aesthetics and function.
  3. Have discussed techniques to obtain optimised tooth preparations to balance MI with best outcomes
  4. Be able to record accurate impressions then make and use provisional restorations
