SubjectSpecial care dentistry
DescriptionEvery member of the dental team will meet and treat people with living with learning disabilities. In this webinar we will go through the definition of a learning disability and why someone may have this disability. We will then cover associated medical conditions and how these may impact dental management. We will discuss barriers to care for this group. Finally we will discuss oral health findings in this cohort and specific communications strategies we can employ to aid management. This will be a relatively small group so there will be plenty of opportunities for questions.
