DescriptionThis course will cover the updates on management of dental trauma with reference to the 2020 International Association of Dental Traumatology guidelines. Trauma to the primary and secondary dentition will be covered. There will also be a table top practical element on splinting on models. This evening course will be suitable for any dentists who may be involved with management of acute dental trauma. This will be small group and there will be plenty of opportunity for questions in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Registration is at 17.30 and the course from 18.00 to 20.00

This is a repeat of the course held in Bristol in October 2021 and Taunton in June 2022. It will be repeated again in Bristol later in 2022.

Aims

The aim of this course is to revise the key updates to the trauma guidelines released in 2020 and gain confidence with splinting techniques

Objectives

After attending this course delegates should:


  1. recognise the recently updated trauma guidelines
  2. be able to describe the practical technique for splint placement
  3. be able to explain the physiology of dental trauma and recognise how management of dental trauma in practice can have a long term effect on the outcome for traumatised teeth.
Learning outcomes

On completion of this course;

Delegates will have improved understanding of the physiology of dental trauma with awareness of the recently updated trauma guidelines and improved confidence with splinting techniques.
