Professor Brian Millar will be demonstrating and talking us through techniques designed to give the best information for labs and give us top tips on successful impression taking.

The aim of this webinar is to teach a range of impression techniques to cover different clinical situations


Objectives

By the end of this webinar participants should;

1. recognise how and when to use a broad range of impression technique including:


  • Putty wash one step and two step methods
  • Heavy body and light body as a one step
  • Putty was injection method to cope with patients with excessive saliva and large tongues
  • Spacer technique

 

2. Explain when and how to use a closed mouth impression technique

3. Describe how to deal with subgingival margins

4. Explain how to manage patients who gag
