DescriptionUsing flight simulation and events that could occur in a dental situation, this course aims to help us understand how pressures can affect the way we work as a team. An immersive study day to familiarise members of the dental team with human factors relevant to their clinical practice utilising dental, medical and aviation expertise. This is an opportunity for the GDP team to update on patient safety and never events in Dentistry and develop HF skills including situational awareness, professional communication, brief/debrief and handover and put these skills into practice in teams on desk top flight simulators, a 737 simulator and within a plane fuselage under the expert tutelage of medical and aviation HF experts. All are welcome, whether in dental teams or as individuals.
