Aims

To provide an update on medical conditions relevant to paediatric dentistry

Objectives

By the end of the day learners will:

Have increased awareness of the burden of dental disease in children with cardiac disease

Better understand the clinical management of children with cardiac disease

Have increased knowledge of the general presentation and management of osteogenesis imperfecta

Have increased knowledge of the dental presentation and management of osteogenesis imperfecta

Understand the role of the multidisciplinary team in management of children with clefts of the lip and palate

Have increased knowledge of the presentation and management of paediatric oncology and the role of the dental team

Learning outcomes

By the end of the day learners should be updated on various medical conditions that affect children and have a better understanding of the role of dental professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team around the child.
