DescriptionA interactive course covering Tips, Tricks and Pitfalls in Removable Prosthetics. The course will be led by Mike Gregory who qualified as a dental technician prior to becoming a dentist. He lectures to under-graduate and post-graduate students on the topic and is part of a John Beseford peer review group. Participants are encouraged to bring any prosthetics cases with them or to e-mail Katherine Sugg (katherine.sugg@hee.nhs.uk) with any areas that they especially want covered .

Aims

1- To understand the fundamentals of denture design and where it can all go wrong.

2- To be able to successfully survey models and realise its importance in denture design.

3- Realise alternative techniques are available for more difficult partial denture and complete dentures.

Objectives

By the end of the course participants will -

1- Be able to select the best technique for different cases.

2- Be able to achieve better success in partial denture construction.

3- Be able to achieve better success in full denture construction.

4- Be able to problem solve in removable denture construction.
