Aims | To ensure that participants have completed the theory training in plaque disclosing and the application of topical fluoride varnish. To be able to demonstrate competency when using disclosing solution, recording the correct score, and be confident while giving appropriate oral health advice to patients.

Objectives | Delegates will be expected to demonstrate competency in the following while being observed Check medical history and consent Check prescription Prepare surgery, materials for the corect procedure and methods for recording plaque Prepare surgery and materials for the correct application of topical fluoride varnish be competent in practical techniques Demonstrate the use of all materials safely Be able to manage any complication that may occur Dmonstrate effective infection control techniques Esure continuity of care for the patient Be able to answer any questions asked by parents or patients on the procedures Demonstrate effective communication skills | ||
